Protect our school children after the recent events in Connecticut!

We need to protect our nation's school children! Our nation is not safe from armed gunmen and the following improvements to our schools will help improve the safety of our children! While costing tax dollars, these innovations will save lives and be well-worth the cost: 1) Installed in EVERY public school should be a metal gate that closes automatically at the push of a button in the front office, closing off all classrooms and protecting all children from danger. The gate cannot be opened without a code, known only by the office staff and the local police department or federal agency and when pushed, contacts the local police department. 2) An armed, mentally-assessed guard along with a few mentally-assessed staff members working the front office, possessing a concealed firearm.
