As our public schools are unprotected from firearms we petition the Obama Administration to mandate that all public schools be guarded by two armed policemen at all times that children are in school. The cost of this to be met by the Federal Government, which will be reimbursed on an additional tax on domestic gun and bullet manufacturers as well as increased customs duties on guns and bullets imported into the United States.
The reasoning behind this petition is the same as the reasoning behind increased taxes on cigarettes. Because we all pay a social cost for guns, manufacturers should pay higher taxes to meet that cost.
