Protect peaceful protesters from police. Citizens who are not a threat to others should not have force used against them

Created by T.C. on November 19, 2011

There is no justification to use force against peaceful demonstrators. Yet in many demonstrations around the United States of America we are seeing law enforcement agencies not enforcing the law, but actively going against our First Amendment rights to peaceably assemble and voice our opinions.

Law enforcement is an effective way to keep order. Yet at numerous locations they have consistently been the initiators of chaos and excessive force. While they should be busy making sure protests operate in a safe and responsible manner, they instead have beaten, maced, tear gassed, baton-ed, and shot rubber bullets at nonviolent demonstrators (including veterans).

Please protect your peaceful citizens from law enforcement agencies that are undermining the rights given to us in our Constitution.
