On 04/25/2015, the CNDD-FDD, ruling party of the Republic of Burundi, designated Pierre NKURUNZIZA as its candidate for President in the June 26th elections. Despite of all national opposition, closest aides, international community's calls for him not to, President P.Nkurunziza chose to defy the World violating both the Constitution and the Arusha Peace Accord led by the U.S. in August of 2000 ending a 15-year conflict. On 04/26/2015 Civil Society and political leaders from accross the aisle called for peaceful demonstrations until President N. rennounces his candidacy.
