Protect people with sickle cell disease from being denied treatment healthcare and to add the sickle cell protection act

This petition is being drawn because there have numerous occasions where people with sickle cell disease have been treated poorly when getting medical care for pain relief. There have been videos of patients describing how they've waited for hours for pain relief while dying in the waiting room. Doctors accuse them of drug seeking and that's wrong. They need help in making sure they get the care they need. Some folks have died while waiting for care because of their pain crisis. Even when they do get a bed, they are left alone to suffer. One man said he was left alone for 12 hours while doctors ignored his pain. Please make it a crime for doctors to treat people this way, and make the right to treatment a part of the Americans with disabilities act, because sickle cell disease is covered.
