The press singles out pit bull attacks, often times with the actual breed of the dog being questionable. As a loving and devoted breed, they are usually doing what the owner has taught them, or lashing out over cruelty and neglect. The breed is powerful no doubt, but singling out their breed as a sensationalist tactic to get attention is wrong.
The breed was created by man, and we must take responsibility for our actions! These animals should have all the same rights as any other breed! In fact, many owners are singled out for hardship by landlords, neighbors, and others based purely on the dog's breed, and nothing to do with their behavior. Even the best dogs get targeted. This is unfair, and leads to untold hardships.
