Protect the Polar Bears

Created by L.H. on January 12, 2013

U.S. District Judge Ralph Beistline recently made a ruling that will leave nearly 200,000 square miles of land that was to be designated as a polar bear sanctuary to greedy oil barons and corporations. He thinks that reserving so much land is an extreme measure that will get in the way of economic progress, but when one considers the fact that the very fate of the polar bear species is at stake, the economy just doesn't seem so important. Indeed, the economic repercussions of setting aside some land pale in comparison to the environmental damage that will be done if the area is not reserved. In a century, when the polar bears are still around, no one will regret having set this land aside. Make your voice heard because these creatures cannot speak for themselves. Protect the polar bears!
