Protect the privacy of individuals email, digital file storage, and other electronic media.

Current law requires a search warrant for emails stored in the cloud for less than 180 days. With the advent of 'cloud based' emails (as well as other forms of electronic files) this arbitrary cut-off is harmful to law abiding citizens. If we want to continue to innovate in this space, and for enterprises to use cost effective cloud based services the ownership of this data should be afforded the same protection from warrantless searches as data stored in a file cabinet in your house or office.
