Recently, a sex scandal at Penn State University had caused headlines across the nation. With nothing more than a one sentence summary of Joe Paterno's statement to the Grand Jury, the media was able to spin the story in such a way that not only painted Paterno as a guilty party but resulted in his firing do to public pressure. The facts of the case were inaccurately reported in columns from Sports Illustrated as well as others. There needs to be a distinction between what is fact and what is opinion. Many people still believe President Obama was born in Nigeria despite factual evidence to the contrary. Herman Cain is now facing accusations of sexual harassment, but he is already convicted in the court of public opinion. Don't let the media manipulate the masses. A line needs to be drawn.
