Protect religious freedom by adding stronger exceptions to the HHS mandate requiring coverage of contraception.

Created by M.R. on November 10, 2011

As currently enacted, the Health and Human Services mandate requiring all private health plans to fully cover contraception and sterilization would force people with religious objections to these, who do not work for a religious employer, to buy plans inconsistent with their religious beliefs. This is an intolerable breach of freedom of religion and conscience rights. President Obama should either revoke the mandate or an add an exception for any individuals or employers who see paying for coverage of contraception and sterilization as inconsistent with their religious beliefs.
