Protect the Right to a Fair and Livable Wage

Created by B.B. on September 25, 2011

Our constitution guarantees us the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but too many hard working Americans have no opportunity to pursue happiness and are struggling just to survive because they are not being paid a fair and livable wage. The cost of living has risen greatly over the last few years but our minimum wage has not kept pace. This is holding many hard working people in poverty. That is an abomination in a nation as great as America. I propose that the value of minimum wage and the cost of living in America be properly evaluated on a yearly basis and the minimum wage raised accordingly. I also call upon our people and our government to make the minimum wage inviolable. The comfort of the few does not outweigh the well being of the many.
