Protect the right of parents to educate their children without governmental interference.

In President Barack Obama's State of the Union address of 2012, he made know that he would like to push for compulsory eduction of persons until graduation at secondary level or until the age of eighteen. This type of regulation at the federal level would negatively affect the ability of families to choose alternatives, such as homeschooling, for their children. Homeschooling families are a concerned and diverse group which has fought for their rights in all fifty states. This type of legislation would be a national blow to the personal rights of families.
