In light of recent agitation by would-be secessionists, libertarian and otherwise, especially in the southern states, we, the undersigned seek a reassurance of our rights as citizens of the United States of America.
Primarily, we expect that, should any state in the union attempt to secede, those of us behind rebel lines will be allowed to, in turn, secede from the rebellious state, affirm allegiance to our rightful country, and declare our property and cities as fully American – thus remaining citizens of the United States entitled to protection and responsible for resistance.
