We urge the President of the United States and the Administration to protect free speech, promote safety, and commit to a peaceful release of any news reporters and journalists speaking about and reporting the news on the crisis in Ukraine.
The political conflicts in Ukraine is ongoing and bouts of violence happens almost daily.
Any news reporters and journalists who are currently held hostage* without legitimate reason and due process by Russian separatists in Ukraine need to be freed safely. Once freed, news reporters need to be continuously protected and continue their journalism without fear.
