Protect second amendment rights:Allow citizens with mental illness the right to posses firearms responsibly.

Created by M.T. on September 28, 2011

Just because a citizen has a mental disability does not mean that they should have their second amendment rights taken away. Diagnosis are subjective and do not indicate that an individual that has been diagnosed or institutionalized for a mental illness is not able to safely own a firearm. The mental health system is riddled with problems and a potential error of the system may strip away an Americans right to posses firearms for the purpose of pleasure or home defense.
