Mr. President:
Please nominate someone other than a sitting Senator such as John Kerry for Secretary of State. It is crucial that the Senate maintain as strong a Democratic majority as possible. Senator Kerry would certainly be an excellent Secretary of State but there are many people who could fill that position with distinction without removing a sitting Democratic Senator.
