Protect Social Security by removing it from the Federal Budget.

Created by T.W. on September 30, 2011

Despite being fully supported by its own separate payrole tax and that it has in no way contributed to the federal deficit, Social Security has become a favorite target of policitians seeking to divert attention away from the true causes of our current fiscal problems and destroy the New Deal.

To put an end to this, we hereby ask the President to propose and support legislation to do the following:

1) Remove Social Security from the Federal Budget process.

2) Transfer all Social Security funds and revenues out of the General Fund and back into a separate fund with the sole purpose of paying out Social Security benefits.

3) Require Congress to repay all Social Security moneies that have been borrowed or diverted to other agencies/projects within a reasonable period.
