Introduce and pass legislation or regulation that protects the days off for retail and customer service employees for three federal holidays.
Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Independence day are days that retail employees deserve off to spend time with family and friends, or to simply enjoy. This petition requests that retail stores, with exceptions for stand alone pharmacies/drug stores, gas stations, convenience stores and Liquor stores, be required to close from 8pm local time the night before the holiday to 6am local time the morning after the holiday for Independence day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.
