US Businesses have been targeted by foreign hackers in order to steal intellectual property or to punish organizations for views that are not shared by the foreign entities. Copyright protects intellectual property to some degree, however there is little to protect companies from acts of aggression meant to punish them. While we recognize a company’s cyber security is something they must be responsible for we also recognize that individual businesses are unable to compete against government opponents. Historic attacks on US businesses have received little more response than a Demarche. The attacks impact the economy of the United States and the finances of companies attacked. In addition personal identifiable information on US citizens is often compromised. Please act and stop this!
