Protect the U.S. Flag, Amend U.S. Code Title 18 Part 1, section 700, desecration of the Flag is not freedom of speech

U.S.C. Title 18, Part 1, Section 700 needs to be amended to include language the clearly outlines that desecration of the U.S. Flag is in fact a criminal offense and that it is not protected under freedom of speech.
The American Flag is a symbol of our freedom and history. It is more than simply a piece of cloth, it's a symbol of our unification, one republic. Yes, we have freedom of speech, so speak, stand up and let your voice be heard. Over one millions Americans have given the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country, our flag and our way of life. Not only is desecrating the American Flag a dishonor for all who have served in our military but a dishonor for all Americans as well.
