Protect the value of college education and prevent college debt from becoming our next financial crisis.

Created by R.H. on April 05, 2013

Currently education after high school has become the norm rather than a goal for our country's bright, young minds. No longer is honing a trade a reasonable alternative. Rising tuition rates, coupled with increased availability of secondary education has devalued the college diploma. We currently have more college graduates struggling to find employment, while these same students are accumulating more debt for which they are unable to pay upon graduation (with no collateral other than future earning potential). Furthermore, in our consumerist society we then provide FHA loans (with less than 5% down payment) while they further leverage up by spending tens of thousands on a "dream" wedding. Yes, education should be available to all who QUALIFY; however, the current system is broken.
