Since the right to vote is the foundation of any democracy and ours have been under repeated attack since the founding of this country, it needs to be properly protected under a serious penalty of law. If a citizen can prove that their right to vote has been or will be deliberately infringed upon through a jury of their peers, the guilty party shall serve no less than 7 days in jail and pay a minimum fine of 1000 dollars for each infraction. The time must be served consecutively and the law is applicable to every citizen of the United States, regardless of station, office or rank and the penalties supersede any other state or federal protections from prosecution. I believe that interfering with the right to vote is a heinous and criminal act and should be treated that way under the law.
