Protect what little integrity online journalism has left by speaking out against clickbait headlines.

I don't go to the internet in search of a weird trick that will help me lose 10 pounds. I don't go to the internet to learn of the top 10 saddest things I didn't know would happen as a result of my eating Cheerios for breakfast. Most of us go to the internet in search of meaningful content, and as a result of revenue provided by pay per click advertising and internet traffic, it has become laborious and irritating to sift good content from clickbait. In addition, journalists in every capacity have been forced to lower their standards to write for clicks instead of providing useful, informative, and entertaining content. Please encourage journalists, media outlets, advertising agencies, and corporate sponsors to make the internet a more interesting and less annoying place to be again.
