Provide Adequate Shelter and Care to Wild Horses in Holding Pens after Round Up in Rock Springs, Wy and future round ups

Created by S.S. on December 12, 2013

Wild horses were rounded up in Rock Springs, Wy during freezing temperatures that reached negative numbers without the wind chill. These animals include young foals 1 - 2 months old in addition to stallions and mares from family groups. These animals are being held without adequate shelter from the elements which constitutes animal cruelty and neglect. Horses must have adequate shelter, water and food to survive during these extreme cold temperatures.

We are asking the Secretary of the Interior, who oversees the Bureau of Land Management and these round ups to ensure the proper and humane care of these animals who were rounded up for solely political reasons brought by the grazing associations in Wyoming. We also ask President Obama to look at the round ups and treatment of the horses.
