All fifty states currently place restrictions on who can get an insurance plan which covers abortion procedures.
As abortion is a medical/surgical procedure, it remains expensive. Many people who choose to terminate their pregnancies find it difficult to finance their procedure, even with assistance from reproductive health centers.
By refusing to allow ALL people to have insurance policies which cover abortions, our government is telling us that our reproductive rights are unimportant and don't deserve to be treated with the same care that other health issues are.
