The purpose of this petition is to approve a veteran's tax free card for all veterans who can produce a DD-214 or other military documents proving they served in the military and all active soldiers who are presently serving in the military. This tax free card will waive all applicable taxes a veteran and service member will be subject to in their life time. Payroll taxes, land and property taxes and any other taxes a veteran or service member will also be waived. The card will be another benefit for those who served their country with honor. Soldiers who received the following discharges would be unable to get the tax free card: Other than Honorable, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable. This card will provide additional incentive for citizens to join the military.
