For over a decade, ethnic Kurds have fought valiantly to assist American geopolitical interests in the Middle East. Many of their civilians, including women and children, have been forced to choose between languishing in atrocious conditions in refugee camps, and fleeing under perilous conditions to the West. It is the responsibility of our federal government in particular to raise asylum quotas, lower screening requirements for, and rescue and resettle ethnic Kurdish refugees into the US. The Kurds are democratically inclined and socially moderate, and should not be feared to harbor terrorists.
