provide autism (aba) coverage to federal employees.

Created by S.G. on February 12, 2014

As a toddler, my son,was enrolled in the Early Intervention program and received Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA therapy). He flourished and we saw daily gains in ability to function. However once he turned three and no longer qualified for EI we looked to our federal insurance to cover it. We were turned away and were told there is no appeals process. Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal regards ABA therapy as experimental. The US Surgeon General, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a host of other reputable organizations have stated that ABA therapy is a scientifically proven method in treating ASD. They are specifically targeting those who can not stand up for themselves. Please close this loophole and allow the families of the federal employees access to ABA therapy!
