As President Obama has now signed a bill to bring back horse slaughter in the US, this petition is warranted to insure the humane treatment of horses scheduled for euthanization.
More regulation and funding is needed to insure the slaughter house owners and workers abide by all regulations and treat each horse to be euthanized with dignity and respect.
And that private organizations or 2nd party inspections be allowed to insure all regulations and humane treatment of the horses are being followed to the full extent of the law.
