Provide children in kinship care the same rights as children in foster care

Created by D.S. on March 15, 2014

Change needs to be made to the Adoption and Safe Families Act concerning children being cared for by relatives. (Kinship care)
As of now the law only places a time limit on how long children can be in foster care before being adopted. This law does not include kinship care. All children deserve a life of permanence and emotional stability. This law needs to be updated to include ALL children. It is time to remove the turmoil from the lives of the children and kinship caregivers.
