In the digital age of social media and 24-hour news, the length of the President Election Campaign has allowed for increased bipartisanship, media frenzies, and consumption of financial resources that could be used to fix problems in this country. The extremely long campaigns distract from pressing issues like fighting terrorism, the economy, and fuels Congress's inability to work together. We have the longest election campaigns in the world. We call upon Congress to provide a solution to this by limiting the length of time presidential nominees and candidates can campaign in the United States of America. Let us set our future generations up for success, rather than teaching them that it is okay for candidates to drag each other through the mud for up two years at a time.
