Provide defensive weapons to Ukraine as authorized by the “Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014” (S.2828)

Created by P.T. on January 21, 2015

Russia has invaded Ukraine, in violation of the Budapest Memorandum, leading to 4,800 deaths and causing 1.2 million to flee their homes

Geoffrey Pyatt, US ambassador to Ukraine, says “We have seen hundreds of pieces of heavy military equipment” moving across the border from Russia in violation of the September Minsk agreement; “we certainly are going to stand by the Ukrainian people as they exercise the sovereign right to defend their own territory.”

Congress unanimously passed the “Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014” (S.2828) authorizing the President to provide Ukraine with military assistance including anti-tank weapons, counter-artillery radars, and tactical drones, and appropriating $350 million in funding

Please provide Ukraine with this essential military aid.
