provide descendants of slaves with reparations owed them for centuries of stolen labor and discrimination.

Created by N.A. on June 18, 2015

Descendants of slaves in this country are still suffering the broad repercussions of slavery. 3 years before the Emancipation Proclamation the value of slaves made up more than banks, factories and railroads put together. $10 trillion (adjusted) in abundance held by slaveholders. The wealth created during the centuries of slavery has gone on to contribute to the stability of the US economy and descendants of those slaveholders. Reparations that benefit the descendants of the enslaved is the only way to address that specific deficit. If we do not demand reparations for the centuries of tireless, stolen labor and brutality that has characterized the entirety of our existence in this country, we cannot continue to be surprised that others do not recognize the value of our lives.
