It is alarming to see the Department of Homeland Security buying massive amounts of ammunition. The American tax payers have a right to know why DHS is spending so much money on ammunition given the current state of spending and debt. What scenario or scenarios is the Department of Homeland Security preparing for that would require such stockpiling of ammunition?
