The Mental Health system is broken and the financial support and expertise needed to help families with children who are beyond normal means of help and meet a criteria set norms for sociopathic behavior that denotes violent tendencies.
With the tragedy of Adam Lanza and James Homes, plus many others, more needs to be done by our Government to aid these families to help prevent and stabilize this behavior that is not a prison-only alternative.
We need safe havens for the mentally ill to be reestablished not only for their well being, but for the protection of all of our children.
Mental illness is only a stigma if we keep it behind closed doors. Sandy Hook can be in any of our towns at any time affecting any of us. Include this measure in the NEW OBAMA Health care plan.
