Provide a federal bailout for the failing Illinois state employee retirement system

The retirement system for state of IL employees is currently underfunded by 93 billion dollars. While employees have contributed every penny required by Illinois law, for the past 14 years IL lawmakers have "borrowed" or simply not funded their share of the pension fund. This mismanagement of the pension system coupled along with other bugetary factors has placed IL dire straits. To solve this problem, IL lawmakers continually propose to cut state employee retiree benefits. Important note - IL lawmakers have a fully funded pension fund The Governor has started a campaign to actually vilify state employees to the public to try and convince the taxpayers of IL that the budget crisis is caused solely by trying to fund the pension system.
