Provide a federal photo ID for honorably discharged veterans.

If you retire from the military, you get a photo ID. If you suffer from a service connected disability, you can get a VA ID. If you served honorably and are note disabled, you need to tote your DD214 everywhere to prove veteran status.

I don't think we need anything fancy. No microchips. Just a simple card from the US government that verifies we served and fits in our wallet.
