This is a motion to address the issue of overseas students not receiving aid or support from the U.S. government. As American students not simply studying abroad but receiving a degree abroad, we are not entitled to apply for loan deferment or financial aid of any kind. Many students turn to overseas education due to the high costs of colleges in the United States, but are still in need of financial aid. Promoting education for Americans and providing support for students should be one of the government's top priorities, whether the student is studying domestically or in a foreign country.
