Restore the ability of the American people to purchase and consume snack food manufactured by Hostess.
Give Hostess a bailout like the ones given to GM and AIG, etc..
While there are many other auto/truck manufacturers out there and too many insurance companies to count, there is only one Hostess. Unlike GM and AIG, Hostess' failures were not caused by years of making an inferior product.
I hereby petition the U.S. Government to give Hostess enough operating capital to stay in business. I further petition to allow them to dismiss the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union from their employ and to instead hire a new work force of hourly employees.
Don't lose 18,500 jobs. Replace 5,680 union workers with fresh new workers.
