Many families are suffering the consequences of having to close their small business, and as a result they either owe money to pay back their business loans. Moreover, former business owners are not given unemployment insurance, and are therefore unaccounted for in unemployment numbers. The federal government should step in and provide immediate assistance to those unable to fund their losses, and pay their daily living expenses such as utility bills, mortgages, rent, transportation, child care, and medical expenses.
