provide financial incentives to coastal states for developing desalination plants for inland water supply & create jobs.

Created by T.H. on September 23, 2014

With the increasing drought, especially in the western United States and in the Plains region, a water shortage will affect all major agricultural regions. Although there have been a number of ways introduced over the years to reuse water and waste water for these purposes, as well as educating the public about water saving and restrictions, we are still falling short.
Our country has some of the largest coastal areas to provide ample places in which to begin desalination of saltwater. As have many regular water treatment plants have done over the years, each plant increased operations can be phased in to create much needed water on an as needed basis. This would also create, not only constructions jobs but plant operations, administration and professional jobs related to this field
