Provide a framework for justice that upholds our right to defend ourselves

Created by J.M. on December 28, 2012

In every instance of gun violence in America, a law has been broken which did not protect the victim. Crime has always been a part of every society regardless of the laws intended to prevent it. The only person who is always there is the victim who should be the person empowered to stop it. Too many times in recent years have we criminalized a victim for defending there selves and victimized the criminal. We pass laws prohibiting an action that is already illegal so a politician can take credit for something. We pass laws that restrict lawful gun ownership but forget that unlawful activity is what we are trying to prevent.Criminal activity involving a firearm is illegal and new gun laws do nothing to change that. Enforce justice with the law rather than criminalizing lawful activity.
