Service members who voluntarily separate from the military have their health insurance cut off the day they leave the military. Service members have the option to purchase health insurance, which costs $1,065 for an individual or $2,390 for a family per quarter. This petition aims to encourage the Obama Administration to provide recently separated Veterans with free health insurance to cover them and their families for up to 6 months.
