Women are shamed of their bodily functions from a young age; they are told to keep their menstrual cycle a secret and are ridiculed when accidents occur do to something they can not control. The Obama Administration could easily solve this issue by providing either cheaper or free menstrual care products to women, especially to those who can not afford the necessary sanitation products. The expense of the products that are necessary in almost every woman's life should not be priced, let alone over-priced. Not only must women pay a large amount for these products, they are also embarrassed to have to purchase them, due to many individuals characterizing this situation as "gross" and "unsanitary."
