On behalf of all Americans, I ask President Obama to make access to wifi free. The time has come to stop nickel and diming Americans for services that are so mainstream they should just be free. Americans rely on the internet like they do air and we don't pay for air.
Computers, mobile phones and tablets are nothing without access to the web and most Americans have one. Companies like Target and Starbucks provide free wifi to their customers because they see it either as an added value or they roll the cost into their goods. Either way their customers are loyal and we appreciate them for doing it.
Telecommunication companies will still make their money through device sales, data and voice packages and individual monthly subscription or access fees.
It's a win-win. God bless America!
