1.) When the chronically mentally ill are not cared for they can present a danger to themselves or others. The most recent example of this is the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords and twenty four other people.Had treatment been provided to Jared Loughner there's an excellent chance that this event would have never taken place.
2.) A "three strikes" law for those who have been repeatedly non compliant. Where if a person is arrested or hospitalized three times in a one year period, a person can be forced to take medication and go to treatment for three to five years.
3.) We would also like paperwork to be condensed, standardized or eliminated wherever possible. Allowing clinicians and case managers more time to provide quality care to clients.
