Provide funding to educate citizens on how to contact their representatives to properly request government reform

Created by A.M. on November 13, 2012

It is clear from other petitions on this site that a number of Americans feel that they can affect major changes in government through a website, whitehouse.gov, which only guarantees a possible response from the White House administration. By submitting these requests in the improper channels, the issues are simply going to waste. This petition seeks to increase federal funding to state educational programs to teach citizens how to contact their representatives directly to ask for change through politically tangible means.

The method of this petition is not meant to demean the Petitions function of the White House website, but rather to encourage citizens to speak to their representatives directly about state issues instead of complaining in an online forum about secession threats.
