As parents we should never be concerned that we will get a phone call that there has been a shooting in our babies' schools and they, or their classmates, have fallen victim. We have very strong security in Airports and Government offices, but do not require the same level in our schools.
The United States Government should provide funding and require ALL schools, private or public, to heighten security measures. There should be security guards, metal detectors, etc. in all schools guarding the entrances. No door should be unlocked except guarded doors.
