While law enforcement organizations, fire departments, and other public safety organizations throughout the US depend on their working K-9s in order to protect the public, they are often unable to afford to provide appropriate protective gear and K-9 first aid kits for the animals.
Please create a Federally supported fund to provide bullet and stab proof vests for all law enforcement K-9s, hot and cold weather protective gear for all K-9s working for public safety organizations, protective gear for search and rescue K-9s and K-9 first aid kits for all such working dogs. These devoted animals, who put their lives on the line to protect the public should always be provided with appropriate protective gear and first aid kits.
