Provide further funding towards NASA's "Enterprise Program", a project for an interplanetary space craft.

Created by J.H. on October 17, 2013

The "Enterprise Program" is a project by the National Aerospace and Space Administration (NASA) that aims to develop and build an interplanetary space craft based upon the "USS Enterprise NCC-1701" from the popular TV show, "Star Trek". The amount requested for this project is .27% of the U.S.'s GDP, in other words, $42 Billion this year. While this does seem like a large amount of money, the U.S. Federal Budget is about 3.7 Trillion, dwarfing the amount asked for. The craft will be used for exploration and colonization, with its third mission dedicated to exploring Mars, and its sixth bringing colonists to the Red Planet. The design will prove instrumental to humanity's exploration of space, and will inspire future generations of men and women to boldly go where no one has gone before.
